KunstKoop Mondriaan Fund (until December 31,2023)
PLEASE NOTE: We have received notice from the Mondriaan Fund stating that their collaboration with Santander Consumer Finance with regard to the KunstKoop will end as of January 1, 2024. This means that if you are looking to purchase an artwork of your interest, you can apply for a KunstKoop loan until December 31, 2023. Existing loans continue to run. The Mondriaan Fund will seek a good alternative in the near future.
Since 2020, Root Gallery offers KunstKoop to its clientele. Kunstkoop is an initiative by Mondriaan Fund and Santander Consumer Finance Benelux which offers individuals living in the Netherlands the possibility to purchase an artwork in monthly installments, without any interest. Through means of the Kunstkoop, collecting art is obtainable for a larger audience, stimulating the art market and supporting the artists in the process.
What are the monthly costs?
– The minimum loan is €250 and maximum loan is € 7.500. If an artwork costs more, the remaining amount should be covered by the buyer and be paid directly to the gallery.
– In every case you can decide to pay a part of the total amount directly to the gallery and apply for a KunstKooploan for the other part.
– The minimum duration of the loan is six months, the maximum is three years. The loan can always be repaid earlier with no additional cost.
– After the first monthly term of your KunstKooploan is covered, it is possible to file an application for a second KunstKooploan.
