In the series Time Is All I’ve Got Sophie reflects upon the concept of time and the emotional weight it carries. Being able to understand the meaning of time makes us aware of the passing and ending, it makes us realize impermanence. This awareness is part of our human nature, but how does it drive and direct us?
Sophie's fascination for human beings is an ongoing inspiration for her artistic practice. She takes a strong interest in human bodies, psyche, interactions, and memories, these themes she displays throughout her work. Delicately, she manages to pose questions on human nature and develops touching narratives with personal experiences, emotions and encounters as points of inspiration.
