The series ‘I will Blossom’ is a continuation of the former series ‘Time is All I’ve Got’ in which Sophie de Vos reflected upon the concept of time and the emotional weight it carries. Deriving from this concept, the work - and series - ‘I will Blossom’ is about cherishing our decay and impermanence, because eventually the passing of time is all what life is. The contradiction between the dead flowers in the image and the verb ‘blossom’ in the title, poetically tells the viewer that decay or even death is eventually soil to blossom from.
