Flood I (2022) is a monumental wall work by Quinda Verheul, made from layered glass and concrete. The piece explores natural topographies through industrial materials, resulting in a striking interplay between smooth reflection and rough texture. Its bold, horizontal composition evokes the shifting edge of land and water, frozen mid-motion.

Quinda Verheul often draws inspiration from the transformation of landscapes, both natural and human-made. With Flood I, she reinterprets these forces using materials that echo geological processes: erosion, layering, sedimentation. The result is sculptural, architectural, and quietly dramatic.
