In Interference Noah Arends explores the fragile balance between disruption and harmony. Flowing bands of icy blue and deep black are interrupted by striking accents of pink and red, creating a composition that feels both fluid and electric. The surface seems to shift as the eye moves across it, echoing the way perception is never fixed but constantly in motion.

As in much of her work, the starting point lies in images from fashion photography, stripped of their original context and reworked into layered abstractions. The result is a painting that transforms something once commercial into a field of visual energy, a play of rhythm, depth, and hidden details that reveal themselves gradually.

Layers of Pink I immediately captures attention with its bold pink surface, leaving little room for escape. In this work, Noah Arends combines a digital sublimation print with fiberfill and a single, almost hidden hand-stitched detail. The shape is rectangular, but the composition is layered. A play between image and material, between distance and intimacy.

Noah explores how colour and texture affect us physically, before any meaning is assigned to what we see. With one gesture - a nearly invisible thread - she introduces a question mark into the controlled, digital field. Layers of Pink I is both assertive and quiet, balancing mechanical precision with a personal touch.
