Frühjahrsreise (Spring Journey) is a mixed media painting by Vera Klaus in which colour spreads across raw canvas through fluid gestures, splashes and delicate drawn lines. Bright pink, yellow, green and violet pigments appear to unfold organically across the surface, forming a lively and open composition.

The painting develops through rhythm and movement rather than structure. Larger colour gestures are balanced by small marks and areas of exposed canvas, allowing the material qualities of the surface to remain visible.

The work suggests a sense of movement through landscape and atmosphere. Colour seems to drift across the canvas, gathering and dissolving again, creating an expressive and intuitive visual rhythm.
