From the series Notre Dame du Haut

This series is based on the stained glass panels in the side facade of the chapel in Ronchamp designed by Le Corbusier which can be viewed closely both from the inside and the outside.

Displaying symbols of nature instead of religious ones, the aim was to attract a wide audience of visitors to the chapel where both (non)believers were and still are welcome to experience this site of pilgrimage.
