In Eigen Haard Is Goud Waard, Emma Veulemans brings together fragments of rooftops, clouds and handwritten language. Geometric colour fields overlap like shifting planes, while the painted frame becomes part of the composition. The work reflects her illustration-led approach, in which familiar observations are transformed through unnatural colour, graphic contours and visible layers.
