Twilight’s Reflections is a bold, energetic composition where deep blue dominates the surface, broken by sharp contrasts of pale blue and sudden bursts of orange. Created with Donald Schenkel’s self-developed tools, the painting reveals a highly physical and layered process, where gesture, texture and light collide.

There’s tension in the surface: between control and unpredictability, stillness and movement. Each layer builds on the next, creating depth not just in material, but in sensation. A powerful statement within Donald’s evolving visual language.
