What happens at the edge of a field? For Vera Klaus, it’s a place of quiet attention and small discoveries. In this work, shapes seem to appear and disappear. Vibrant colours merge with transparent layers, fluid lines cut through thick, textured paint. It’s a play of spontaneity and focus, where nothing is fixed and everything is allowed to unfold.
As often in her work, music sets the tone. A rhythm, a voice, a melody that carries her into a space where thought gives way to movement. That’s where colour begins. The title refers to a moment of noticing: something that catches your eye when you're on your way to something else.

Working with acrylics, ink, spray paint, and pastel, Vera Klaus follows her intuition. Her process is tactile, immediate, and driven by mood, gesture, and the sensory act of painting.
