From the series Celestial Mountains

Aside from her practice as an artist, Quinda Verheul is also an athlete partaking in several competitions each year. Usually these are ultra-distance mountain bike competitions that are solo and depend on self sufficiency. This series results from her experiences in Kyrgyzstan where she rode the Tian Shan mountains for 1900 kilometers. Tian Shan is a large system of mountains in Central Asia that can be translated to Celestial Mountains. Being in the midst of the landscape, experiencing the mountains, the different weather conditions, the site at night and seeing celestial bodies shine, enhances her fascination for the landscape. Immersing herself in the natural environment is essential to her being and inextricably reflected in her practice.

Delivery in the Netherlands and Belgium is complimentary and arranged with care, either in person or via secure shipment.
