A brief pause. A moment to breathe. Moment der Ruhe 2 is one of Vera Klaus’s more introspective works, an abstract composition that still carries her familiar sense of movement and emotion, but with more space to linger.
Soft pink gestures, deep purples and bright flashes of orange and green unfold across the canvas without urgency. It’s a piece that invites slowness. The title refers to the feeling of calm that sometimes arrives when everything stands still, even if only for a second.
Like most of Vera’s paintings, this work is created layer by layer, guided by intuition and sound. Each element - a drip, a sharp line, a blurred stain - carries its own weight and energy. But here, they’re given room to rest.
