Francisca Snel combines blown glass and copper in this colourful sculpture from her Crystal Clear series. Layers of turquoise, deep green, amber and red surround the fine structure of a copper cleaning sponge, transforming an overlooked household object into contemporary art. Because the colours, transparency and embedded copper change from every angle, the sculpture has no fixed front and can be placed freely in a space.
