On view are works by Donald Schenkel, Lisette Schumacher and Jeske Haak, alongside a presentation by invited artist Anna Oudhof. The recently completed gallery now includes an additional floor, showing a wider selection of works by all represented artists.

Lisette Schumacher’s work begins in architecture, but does not describe buildings. What remains is rhythm, proportion and colour. Layers of paint filter light rather than block it, allowing surfaces to shift subtly throughout the day.

Jeske Haak’s bronze sculptures carry weight, both physically and visually. Her forms draw from hidden natural systems and sit between growth and erosion, between something emerging and something already settled. The hand remains visible in the finish.

For Donald Schenkel, oil paint is both medium and subject. He works the surface with custom tools, pushing pigment across wood, paper or canvas until resistance becomes part of the composition. Grain shows through, interruptions remain, and light sharpens what is already there.
