Saturday 4 July 2026, 11:00 – 13:00
On Saturday 4 July, Root Gallery welcomes visitors for a relaxed morning during the final weeks of What Holds. Between 11:00 and 13:00, photographers Sophie de Vos and Jan Theun van Rees, together with sculptors Francisca Snel and Madelon Uljee, will be present to speak about their work.
Visitors are invited to enjoy coffee and croissants while exploring the exhibition and discovering the gallery's collection.

Meet the Artists Behind What Holds
What Holds brings together four artists whose practices are rooted in making. Through photography, glass, leather and material experimentation, each artist explores how memories, forms and spaces can be held onto, transformed and reimagined.
During the morning, visitors will have the opportunity to speak with the artists in an informal setting and learn more about the ideas and processes behind the works on view.
